Since its inception in 1974, Ballet Wichita, formerly the Metropolitan Ballet of Wichita, has stayed true to its original mission of providing incomparable training and performing opportunities in dance. In addition to four annual productions, Ballet Wichita performs The Nutcracker Ballet for thousands of young people. The company offers advanced, intensive dance workshops with accomplished dancers from across the country, tours original and classic ballet productions across the state, and presents accomplished companies to the Wichita community.
