This year’s showcase will feature special guest artist, trumpeter Pete Hittle. Hittle was a band director in Iowa for most of his career, but is currently living and playing trumpet in New Orleans and the surrounding area.
The concert will feature Friends University student and Miller Competition winner Kiesha Anderson performing “O Mio Babinno” and “Italian Street Song.” Briley Lewis, Wichita Metropolitan Music Teachers Association concerto winner, will also be performing Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue.”
