A new map portraying non-profit arts organizations in Wichita has been introduced by Wichita: Supporting The Arts to participating local arts organizations as a way to raise funds for their individual organizations. The Wichita Arts Map is an illustration done by well known local cartoonist, Richard Crowson. The new map is underwritten by The Trust Company of Kansas (TCK) and produced by Marketing Resources as a way to help local non-profit arts organizations raise funds.

TCK will offer a quantity of the maps free of charge to each participating arts organization to sell to their patrons and friends, and 100% of the funds each organization receives stays with the arts organization. Sale of the maps could potentially create over $60,000 to help offset expenses of these arts organizations. Martha Linsner, TCK President, stated, “We thought this would be a good way to help local arts raise funds, and at the same time, help create interest and awareness of the local arts scene.”
The large, colorful 24”x36” map is designed to portray and promote non-profit arts organizations in Wichita. It show the general location of each of the 17 participating Wichita arts organizations below and includes interesting detail features for which Crowson’s cartoons are known.
The map will be available beginning in April through participating arts organizations listed below.
